Muskegon River Fishing Report – December 14, 2014

Muskegon River
The Muskegon river near Newaygo, MI is running a bit above average flows for this time of year, but has stabilized more in the last few days compared to the last week+ of erratic fluctuations.
We are still fishing for steelhead and resident trout and getting into fish each day. Some days we have to cover a bit more water than others, but fish are there to be caught, may just have to work for them a bit on sunny days and those days with more river and angler traffic.
Some lake run Brown trout are also being caught here and there, as well as resident Rainbow and Brown trout.
Present water temperature is in the mid to upper 30’s.
