Flat River

The Flat river is a warm water fishery that empties into the Grand River in the town of Lowell, Michigan.   It’s a short 15 minute drive east of Grand Rapids to reach this small town and quality Smallmouth Bass fishery just off I-96. 

Warmer months from May – September fish best due to the nature of such warm water fish. Streamers and dry fly fishing are possible, streamers dominate for “smallies”.   The Flat does have some Carp that roam the shallow waters within eyesight of the Lowell business district and can test the most patient of anglers and the quality of their equipment.
