Muskegon River Fishing Report – Newaygo, MI – November 21, 2015

Muskegon river steelhead
Marty, from west MI, with a nice chrome Muskegon river steelhead.

The Muskegon river near Newaygo, MI still hanging onto near average flows for this time of late fall, but this may change in the days ahead as the rain/snow “wintery mix” makes its way into the river basin and the tributaries that feed into it.

We are still getting into Steelhead and will be through the rest of November and up to the New Year.

Fishing has been better on cloudy days, but we’re finding fish each day…just having to cover a bit more water on those bright, sunny days.

Present water temperature has dropped a bit in the last day or so, with most recent readings come in around the 46-47 degree mark.
