Muskegon River

The Muskegon river near Newaygo, MI remains slightly above average flows for this time of early winter and still fishing good for both steelhead and resident Rainbow and Brown trout.

With water temperatures staying relatively steady, fishing will remain good through the holidays and into 2015.

We are pursuing both steelhead and trout with both fly fishing and light spin tackle gear…. much of that dependent on the weather and how quickly we need to fire up the heater to warm up hands between runs !

Present water temperature is in the 37-38 degree range based on temps I took today.

John with a GREAT Muskegon rive Brown trout....Merry Fishmas !
