Muskegon River Fishing Report – December 21, 2016 – Newaygo, MI

Fun day on the river with my long time friend, best man, father to my god daughter and one I’ve “been through the mud with”………Happy Holidays to ALL !

• Muskegon river fishing report for December 21, 2016 is about early fall steelhead, resident Rainbow and Brown trout, as well as some lake run Brown trout. 
• With the cold weather over the last near 2 weeks, water temps have dropped and fishing for both steelhead and trout will turn into a very fun “winter hunt” for both, as we should have some good fishing through January based on forecasted weather for the next week-10 days…….high near or above 50 !….
• I will be out of commission for the next few weeks, but looking forward to getting into what looks like a good late January/early February fishing while we have decent weather and water, to fish in and cast into.
• Present water temperature in the 48-49 degree range.
