0 min read
Muskegon River
The Muskegon river by Newaygo, MI is running well above average flows at this time due to recent rains that came through west Michigan.
Most insect hatches are “on hold” while the river stabilizes.
Resident Brown and Rainbow trout, as well as Smallmouth bass are the fish of choice at this time of summer.
Smallmouth bass fishing will only improve as water temperatures increase through July and early August.
Present water temperature in the mid to upper 60’s.
