The Spring Steelhead run is in full swing on the Muskegon river near Newaygo, MI ! Large and feisty fish, fresh out of lake MI are providing some great battles that test both angler skill and equipment….come join the fun !
With the heavy rains and mild weather over the past week+, “spring” has arrived a few weeks early here in the Midwest. I do believe we will see more significant snowfall before March is over though.
With water levels higher than average, it can be dangerous wade fishing right now, so be careful if you decide to venture out.
Present water temperature in the 39 degree range.
